Lesson 4 4th years

Hades walked into the charms classroom to see no one there. Hades sighed and walked the rest of the way into the room. This was just great, he was here by himself and this was going to be really boring. Hades took a seat in the middle of the classroom and head banged his desk a couple of times. Why were people doing this to him, Hades sighed and sat back in his chair. He looked around the classroom, and notice that there were things in here that he finally noticed. He sighed and waited for people to come in.

Caleb walked into the classroom. He saw Hades was the only one there. "Really dude, you're the only one here, that makes you a nerd for coming early" Caleb joked with him. Caleb smirked and took a seat in front of him. "Wow, someone looks really tired today" Caleb continued to tease.

Thomas walked into class and saw his two best friends. He took a seat next to Hades. "Man, you look tired and you look hyper, am I the only normal one of our lot" Thomas teased Hades and Caleb. He probably was the normal one but he won't rub it in their faces.... Yet.

As per usual, Lena got to class feeling awake, somewhat. She merely sat down on a seat near the windows like she did in her other classes. She closed her eyes, trying to catch five more minutes of sleep.

Lenora walked into her classroom. She went to the front of her desk and looked at the students. "Okay settle down" Lenora said to the students. "I no everyone is probably excited because this is the last lesson of the year and next year you will all be 5th years" Lenora said to the students. "Okay, this lesson will be on the patronus charm" Lenora looked at her students then continued.

"Can anyone tell me what happens when you use that spell" Lenora asked.

Caleb heard the teacher come in and then waited for her to start the lesson. Caleb heard her say what spell they were going to learn and then raised his hand. "The patronus charm can be used when you need help if you're getting attacked by dementors" Caleb said.

Paloma rushed into their last charms lesson of the year and quickly took a random seat. "I'm sorry, Professor Malfoy," she apologized, and tried to pay attention to what was being said.

She perked up at the mention of the Patronus charm, this would be an interesting class.

Lenora nodded. "15 points to Slytherin" Lenora said to her students. "5 points from your house Miss Poots" Lenora said when she came in late. "Okay, today I want you all to practice the patronus charm. Point your wand in the air and say Expecto Patronum. First you have to think of any happy memory and then say that spell, then you wait to see what form your patronus makes, begin everyone" Lenora said to them all.

Caleb looked at her and nodded. He was glad he got points for this. Caleb grabbed his wand. He tried to think of a happy memory, any happy memory. Caleb finally got one in his head. He picked up his wand and pointed it to the air. Caleb had the happy memory of when he came to Hogwarts. "Expecto Patronum" Caleb said. Soon a tiger patronus shot out of his wand. Caleb smirked at it.

Hades watched as Caleb got the question right and then professor Malfoy gave them the instructions for the class. Hades watched as Caleb succeeded and then shook his head, he was probably thinking about a girl he kissed or something. Hades snapped out of it and grabbed his wand. He pointed the tip into the air. He thought about when he proposed to Iris.

"Expecto Patronum" Hades said. Soon a stag came out and Hades nodded in approval. This would work.

Thomas nodded his head randomly when the professor wanted them to make a patronus. Thomas thought about a happy memory of his and thought hard. When one came to mind he had to admit it was funny but happy. It was when he punched a kid for looking at Alex the wrong way. Thomas grabbed his wand. "Expecto Patronum" He said.

Soon a snow lion came out of his wand. 'Interesting patronus' Thomas thought.

Adele waltzed into class in her usual manner, and gasped slightly when she realized everyone was doing Patronus charms. Her mouth opened and closed, and she shook her head fiercely. She sat at the back of the classroom, quietly watching everyone as she thought about her Patronus; she had always been a better daydreamer than anything else.

Lenora looked at the Gryffindor that came in late. "5 points from Gryffindor, we're working on the patronus charm" Lenora said to her she looked around the class. "If you can't do the charm correctly then that means your favorite memory, isn't strong enough, it has to be strong" Lenora said to her class.

Paloma was a bit surprised when the professor told them they would be casting the Patronus charm, because it was a harder spell to cast and even some adults had trouble with it. She was even more surprised when a few of her classmates seemed to have cast it perfectly and wondered if it would be that easy.

It was hard choosing one happy memory. She knew they had to be very strong and it wasn't like she had an unhappy childhood, but none of the memories she had seemed to be good enough for her. There were many happy memories, but they weren't happy enough for the spell, and she just knew they wouldn't work.

The Uchitel raised her wand nonetheless, and chose the happiest memory she could think of. It was a pretty vague one... she was laughing and playing some sort of game with her sister and brother, she must have been about eight, while their parents were watching with big smiles on their faces. While she didn't remember much, she remembered she was really happy and just thinking about it brought a smile to her face.

"Expecto Patronum!" Paloma exclaimed, and watched as some sort of animal came out of her wand. It looked like a wolf, but she couldn't be sure, for it was much, much weaker than her other classmate's Patronus' had been.

Rose entered the class and took a seat in the back to think a bit so then she saw some wiered looking thing.Rose was fearing that hogwaarts was about face something odd.Rose was surriesd her dad was rich and rich and so was her mum. Rose was waiting till she was going ohome and be happy with her parents.Rose was surprsed about this she never iked many people well did she was sora of frends wth some grffyindors.Rose just wonder abouut how hogwarts was the home for her and her brothers.

Renas took a seat hoppng he wouldnt be mad or good tthen Renas sat and waited more and more to think good and not bad.Renas read more and more an more then he thought more na d more then he wrote so much more then thought more and more.

Blaine walks in late to yet another class due to night terrors. He bows to the professor. "im sorry i was late madam, ill accept any punishment you see fit." he wasnt in the mood for scolding right now. he just wanted to get this class done so he could go write to lily. she was probably waiting for his owl right now.

Lena felt reasonably angry at the fact that everyone had managed to execute the Patronus Charm perfectly well, but she hadn't. She hadn't even paused to think that she had been through a lot more hardship and her mind had probably been moulded to feel angry and depressed half the time, at least mentally. Huffing, she searched for a space where she could be on her own, where her only companion was her own thoughts.

Closing her eyes, the multinational Uchitel focused solely on the happiest memory that both she and Ashling could think of: her first date with the love of her life. Words and phrases spoken during that day - or evening, night, whatever - went through her mind, and her mind was instantly relaxed. It was as if she was eleven and free again... the cold, Lappish breeze fresh in her mind. Her grip on her wand relaxed too, and she chuckled as her mind played the part where she and Rhys had ice skated on the ice together, with horrible results.

"Expecto Patronum," she breathed, and opened her eyes, relaxed, the world seemed a little hazy. Her eyes widened when she saw how powerful that memory had been... surely it must have been the happiest of her living ones. Her breath stilled once she saw the cloud of mist begin to take shape. It was not a badger, or an otter, but something else entirely.

It formed into a bird, a very familiar bird. Its smooth feathers made Lena gasp, and laugh a little. "An owl, eh?" she whispered, letting it perch on her arm. She looked around and saw everyone else's Patronuses - particularly Thomas's snow lion - and she stared at her own, gently petting it with her palm. "Can you talk, like Camellia?" she muttered, mostly to herself. It didn't reply verbally, though it did peck Lena's cheek with its ghostly beak.

Adele watched people try and perform the Patronus Charm, and decided that she would stand up and try. So what if she got five points taken off her? She was going to try and gain those points back by working her butt off in class.

She took a deep breath, and found the happiest memory she could think of. It was the time she and Jethro had baked a cake together when she was about ten, and the Pineapple Army hadn't begun to haunt her yet. She chuckled, before muttering the incantation.

And nothing happened, which made her burst into tears.
