Personality: Cordelia is a very quiet child that keeps to herself. She has not been known to socialise or play with the other children her own age at the orphanage. Although a very small child when her mother died, the emotional scars from that time run deep. Aware that someone made her mother disappear, but no idea who that someone is, she has trouble trusting anyone, always looking and waiting to see if they too might be trying to get her.

Underneath the quite solemn demeanour is a bright little girl who doesn't miss much. Appraising people to try and tell if they are going to hurt you has left her with many observations of the world around her; although she doesn't understand it all, there aren't many interactions Cordelia misses.

Overall history: Cordelia Vause (Volans), is the only remaining descendant of an ancient pureblood family. Many know of the legend of the Coeus witches, but very few were aware of the fact that women with the Coeus blood flowing through their veins are still alive today, until that fateful day five years ago. For many centuries Ksenia's female ancestors lived quietly, keeping the secret of their powers and taking blood vows of secrecy from their partners in order to be sure that no one would find out what power they held within themselves: the ability to enhance the magical strength of others with their touch. That power increases by a percentage and when an ordinary witch or wizard comes into any sort of physical contact with them they will not think anything as their magic will gain little strength for a marginal amount of time.

Cordelia's young life was filled with stress and fright, not that she ever noticed. As doubting as any mother could be Regina made any precaution that they were taking feel like a game. Particularly the hiding. Although firm that her daughter was not to come out until she was found, Regina would claim its nothing more than a game, and that mummy would always come find her. The day that Mummy didn't come was the day Cordelia realized nothing was just a game.

Upon realizing that Regina was dead and there was no one to take in this child, Cordelia was sent to an Orphanage where with the newly affected quite nature, she spent that last two years watching the other children without really speaking to them, wondering when they were going to realize there was more to their games too. And having no idea that there was actually family out there - that she wasn't alone.
