BS Lesson Two ~All Years~

Ares stood at the front of the class with his hands clenched behind his back. He was wearing his British General army uniform in preparation for todays class. On each of the students desks lay a paper facing down wards to hide its contents.

Roman walked into the class, making sure to walk at an even pace. He could barely contain his excitement. This was the class he had been looking forward to all day. He considered himself a true warrior, after all, and nothing pleased him more than having late-night sword -fights with the castle ghosts, or spending hours reading up on famous battles.

"Good day, Professor," he greeted the teacher in his barely-fluent Russian, and took his seat.

Selena sighed with relief once she knew that she wasn't the very first student to arrive. And not probably the late one. Lucky her for today. Being alone with only the professor staring at her is not so good. Or even having the professor glaring at her because of her tardiness is the worst image she could ever think of.

The girl took a seat with short wave and a "Hi" towards the professor. Ignoring the other student who seemed to be in place of excitement with the lesson, she crossed her arms on top of the wooden table and gazed at the front of the room. Lazily waiting for the rest to come.

Lena smirked as she entered this class, though it was mainly to herself. She was made for this, so of course she felt glad. She nodded curtly towards the Professor and waved at Roman before sitting all alone at the back.

"Good morning, Professor." Lora greeted with a smile as she entered the classroom. "Hey Le," she smiled at her friend and took a seat next to her.

Ksenia walked into the classroom, nodding her head slightly to the professor before sitting down at an empty desk. She did not geat any of her classmates, she never had. Instead she took out the books from her bag, getting ready for the lesson. Battle Strategies was by far her favourite subject. She was a thinker and the logical problems that they had to solve in this room were the best way to apply her abilities.

Victoria walked lazing into the classroom, her bag hanging limply in her fist. She noticed some other students in the classroom and inwardly laughed at them. She blew her hair out of her eyes and ruffled up her hair. She waited patiently for the class to start.

Ares waited patiently for all his students to arrive and finally when he thought it was time he flicked his wand and shut the door.

"Welcome to Battle Strategies and Physical Combat! I am Professor Ryker but you will address me as General do i make myself clear?" He asked waiting for the chorus of yes sirs. Once he'd received them he wasted no time in moving on. "As you might have noticed there is a piece of parchment placed on your desks. Do what you like with it, just not in my class. Im my class we will learn the strategies by doing them. You learn nothing wasting time sitting around!" He said pacing up at down the front of the classroom.

"Now everyone on their feet and form a line against the wall and face me. I wanna see exactly what im working with." He said magicking the desks away with a flick of his wand.

(OOC physical combat peeps just pretend you've been here the entire time.)

Selena gulped and got up, ready for everything that lay ahead. She nodded respectively and answered in a somewhat loud tone. Much louder than the usual voice of hers, "Yes sir!"

She walked rapidly across the room and started on to form the line. Ignoring that she was the first to do what they were exactly told.

She responded with a 'Yes, sir!' and immediately got up and stood against the wall next to Selena. This is certainly not going to be last year, she thought.

Ksenia sat up straighter once the General begun to speak. This was not something she expected. "Yes, Sir," she said with everyone else. The young witch got up when instructed to stand by the other students, her expression as emotionless as it usually was.

Roman returned Lena's wave with a smile.

"Yes, sir," Roman replied to the professor. This was the kind of no-nonsense teaching that he was used to, and it reassured him that he was actually taking at least one useful class. He walked to the back of the room, making sure to keep his posture straight and his face blank. He noticed that the rest of the class was all girls. He certainly didn't expect that.

"Yes sir." Victoria said calmly, walking into the line and leaning against the wall and gazing up at the ceiling with a casual air about her.

He waited for all of them to get into line before finally moving to stand in front of them all. "Okay so this is how its going to work." He said taking up pacing in front of them with his hand still clenched behind his back. "Each lesson we will have a different agenda. All lessons will be practical based and you will learn what i takes to lead an army into battle." He said coming to a stop at the center of the line so he could look at them all.

"Each lesson one of you will be placed in charge of the group. You will then be graded with a rank on how well you do. Failing to win the war doesn't necessarily mean you did a bad job. A general is only as good as his team. You!" He said pointing to Selena. "Congratulations you've just been made captain."

"Now who can tell me the first thing that comes to mind when you hear battle strategies?"

Selena nodded with sheer appreciation. She did not expect that. Surely, what she's done was only a little thing for the class. And for some credit. But for today's lesson? A captain? A first-year? Seriously. Compared to the higher years standing upright beside her, what was it that made her excel them out? She can't think of any. But if this means good skills on leadership and strategies, then she was up to that part. She can't wait to tell everything to her father.

"Preparing for a battle with full determination and will, sir. And taking things seriously as a matter of life and death. Thinking very clearly on both sides of the situation of what the outcome of plans might be. Either to win or to be defeated."

Selena said confidently and straighten herself against the wall once more.

"Battle strategies makes me think of blitzkrieg, sir" Lena replied, as soon as the girl - Selena, she was called. "It is German for lightning war." Well, if Lena didn't know that, she might as well be stripped of her nationality. Or well, half of it. "It was used in the Second World War using lots of artillery, combat and air power, like the bombs dropped from German helicopters," she went on.

He nodded. "Both answers are good. Battle strategies is all about thinking and planning. However, if you think you can pass this class on brains alone you are mistaken. Wars need a good strategy and a good army. A strategist is only as good as the army they are leading. So don't think just because you aren't captain that you aren't being watch because im interested in your fighting ability as well." He said.

"Now today will be a simple task, but don't take it too lightly. Selena step forward and face your troops. You will be facing an unknown army in a minute, i will give you a minute or so to analyses your battle ground before you brief your team on what to do. I will give you pointers as we go along." He said opening the door to the left to allow Selena entrance.

"You have one minute then i want you back to brief your team before the war begins."

Selena nodded and faced her own little army, giving a silent gesture to follow where the professor was telling them to go. She slightly rolled her eyes and started for the designated direction. She did wonder all the way what they're up to and what they're going to come up with as a plan. Rather to destroy what's coming after them. Or else face humiliation under a very inexperienced first year captain. Really? Is this some joke? But in any case, it isn't.

Could she say that she's inexperienced? Well after this she's not that shallow once again. But to lead these bunch of higher years? That's the question. And if the mind is going to be the point on where the ranking goes, hers would be quite at the top of it all.

"So! Any hint of what we're going to expect right there? Because as you see, I'm just a first year and you can underestimate me all along. But for a captain to think it through, I can suggest that we all be fair enough to comment."

The Hitrost said casually once they entered the place where they're supposed to be headed, ignoring the surroundings around them. It was not a time to waste. And a minute? That was short to evaluate everything through.
