They say its darkest just before dawn

“Come on Socks,” Serena whispered as she tiptoed out of the Slytherin Girls Dormitory and into the common room. The cat meowed at her and she turned to look at him, “Shh, Socks we can’t wake anyone up.” She left the common room and made her way towards the Kitchens. It was late at night and the small Slytherin was hungry. She had missed dinner because she was held after her last class for detention and fell asleep. She had failed to put on slippers before leaving the common room and wore a t-shirt and athletic shorts. So there was a bare foot eleven years old wondering around the kitchens in the dead of night. Rena’s hair was still a mess it was obvious she had just woken up and snuck out of the common room. She would surely be caught.

Aragorn wandered down to the kitchens, his faithful cats padding after him happily. They had woken him up so they could get some food, and he'd obediently gotten up to follow them. His cats had him trained now, unfortunately.

With quiet steps he trudged up to the painting of the fruit and tickled the pear generously. The door swung open and he sighed at the nice warm smell of cooking. The house elves were always busy and they were generally awake enough to give him a small meal. He'd never been caught sneaking in here before, and he doubted he ever would be.

He looked around, "Psst. The girls are hungry, guys." He'd not seen anyone else come in or go, so surely he was alone. Jenny and Eve twisted themselves around his feet, purring and meowing loud to have food.
